Therapy may be recommended for your child after a new diagnosis or after a surgery. Your child’s therapist works one-on-one with your child to help make daily life easier.
Occupational therapy
Pediatric occupational therapists care for your child’s physical, emotional and social well-being. We specialize in helping children improve their fine motor skills, sensory and visual motor skills, ability to perform activities of daily living, social skills and confidence.
Speech therapy
Speech-language pathologists, also known as speech therapists, specialize in evaluating, diagnosing and treating children with speech, communication, language, learning and swallowing disorders. Your child’s speech therapist works with your child to help improve their ability to communicate. If English is not your child’s first language, we provide bilingual speech therapy in Spanish and Urdu.
Assessments for specialized equipment
Your child’s therapist can evaluate your child to help your family find equipment that is right for your child and their needs, such as a wheelchair, bathing equipment, augmentative and alternative communication devices and more. Our care team can also show your child and family how to properly use these devices. Our goal is to support your child’s social and physical development, and help your child gain more mobility and independence.
