Pediatric endocrinology and diabetes care at Dell Children's

Pediatric endocrinologists at Dell Children’s Medical Center at Ascension Seton specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disorders, such as diabetes and thyroid conditions, in children and teens. These conditions affect metabolism, mood, sleep, blood pressure, growth and development. If you are concerned about your child’s symptoms, start by talking with your child’s pediatrician. Your pediatrician can refer you to the right pediatric specialist at Dell Children’s. And because we have locations throughout the Austin area, you don’t have to travel far to get the care your child needs.

Diagnosing and treating endocrine disorders

Your child’s first appointment starts with a conversation with a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist. We listen to understand your child and your concerns about your child’s health. Your child’s doctor may recommend tests to help diagnose your child’s condition. Most tests, such as blood and urine tests, are done in our office. We also provide growth hormone stimulation testing at Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Your child’s doctor takes the time to explain your child’s diagnosis and answer your questions. Then, we work with you to create a personalized care plan. Treatments may include oral medications or injections.

As your child’s needs change, so does our care. We provide ongoing care, education and management of endocrine disorders for children and teens until age 18.

At Dell Children’s, our specialists diagnose and care for:
