Advanced care for hand, arm and shoulder conditions
As a Level I Children’s Surgery and Trauma Center, Dell Children’s provides the highest level of surgical care for your child. Our surgeons are specialty trained in hand, arm and shoulder procedures, follow best practices, and use evidence-based decisions in surgery to deliver care that’s right for your child.
We specialize in the treatment of many hand and wrist conditions from minor procedures for congenital deformities in the office to microsurgery and peripheral nerve surgery in the operating room. Education concerning injuries and congenital deformities is part of the office visit and, should surgery be needed, our providers will review and interpret the imaging findings with you during surgical discussion and planning.
When your child needs advanced care for hand, arm and shoulder conditions, rest assured Dell Children’s pediatric hand team has you covered. We offer 24/7 Dell Children’s Medical Center coverage for patients with acute medical problems and outpatient care along with full on-site radiology, fluoroscopy and immediate image detailing, occupational therapy and wound care. Our in-clinic occupational therapist collaborates in creating custom splints, casts and exercises to meet your child’s needs while our social worker aids in the coordination of therapy and accessing community resources.
