Pediatric neurology at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital

When your child has a brain or spine condition, they need doctors who are experienced in providing specialized care. Board-certified pediatric neurologists and neurosurgeons at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital have advanced expertise in diagnosing and treating newborns and children with neurologic conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscles.

Your child’s care starts with listening to understand your concerns, a thorough diagnostic evaluation and a compassionate discussion about a care plan that’s right for your child. This may include therapeutic options to manage symptoms, medications, or surgery may be recommended. We take a family-centered approach and focus on care for the whole child – physical and emotional health.

Conditions we diagnose and treat

At Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, we provide some of the latest imaging and diagnostic testing, including MRI and electroencephalogram (EEG). Working together, your child’s care team makes a diagnosis and creates an individualized care plan that’s right for your child. If surgery is recommended as part of your child’s care plan, a neurosurgeon may become part of your child’s care team. We have the expertise to diagnose and treat complex brain and spine conditions.

Epilepsy and seizure care

At Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, we provide advanced care for children with seizures and epilepsy. Using an electroencephalogram (EEG), we monitor and record the electrical activity in your child’s brain. Our pediatric neurologists can also read and interpret EEG recordings performed at other facilities. We take the time to explain your child’s diagnosis and treatment options. Then, we work with you and your child to find a treatment that manages your child’s seizures. If surgery is recommended, we connect you with pediatric neurosurgeons at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis who have the expertise to surgically treat epilepsy.
