Down Syndrome Clinic at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital
Specialists at the Down Syndrome Clinic at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital diagnose and treat children with Down syndrome. If your child has already been diagnosed, they can be referred to our program for care. At our clinic, your child and family receives a personalized care plan and is connected to:
- Assessments for your child’s development
- Range of pediatric specialists
- Genetic testing options for parents
Because children with Down syndrome often need care from multiple specialists, your child's care team may include specialists in cardiology, ENT (ear, nose and throat), adolescent medicine, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, audiology, nutrition and more. Your child’s care team works together on a care plan and provides care for the whole child – physical and emotional health.
To help make getting the care your child needs easier, we coordinate appointments with your child’s specialists on the same day in our clinic. Each appointment starts with a conversation between you, your child and your child’s doctor. Then, we review your child’s care plan with you and make sure it’s working for your child.

Helping your child transition from pediatric care
Our goal is to provide care that helps your child grow and thrive – from childhood into adulthood. That means as your child’s needs change, so does our care. Your family will be connected to care at Ascension St. Vincent, allowing your child’s care to seamlessly transition into care with specialists for adults, when they are old enough. Your child’s specialists work together to help make the transition as smooth as possible for your child and family.
