There is no gift more generous, more touching or more appreciated than the gift of your time. If you have a desire to do meaningful work, volunteer at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. We offer volunteer opportunities in the children’s hospital, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and mother baby unit.
There are many ways volunteers can make a difference. Volunteer opportunities may vary based on specific needs at the time. Opportunities may include:
- Greeting and escorting visitors and patients
- Giving directions to offices and hospital areas
- Assisting in special projects
- Cuddling babies and children
- Providing helping hands for units, patients, and visitors
- Reading, playing, and engaging with patients
What we will need from you:
- A positive attitude
- A weekly time commitment for 6 months
- Punctuality and reliability
- A desire to grow and learn
- Most importantly, the desire to pitch in and help
How to become a volunteer

- Consent to a criminal background check
- Attend training sessions
- Obtain consent from a guardian if you are under 18
Shadow a healthcare provider
Shadow opportunities are 2-4 hours, intended for students 16+ and are scheduled independently.
