When you apply to volunteer, we will match your talents, skills and interests to our areas of need. We will do our best to place you in an area you enjoy, and where your talents can be used to help patients, visitors and hospital staff.

Volunteer requirements
To volunteer at Ascension Borgess Hospital, you must be 18 years or older and commit to volunteer for at least six months.You will also be required to have a criminal background test, tuberculosis (TB) test and annual flu shot.
Before you begin volunteering, you will attend an orientation session. Training will also be provided in the area in which you will be assigned.

To get started, please fill out the online volunteer application. We will review your application to see if there are any opportunities that meet your skills. If a match is identified, we will contact you to discuss requirements, schedule and current openings. If we cannot identify a match, your file will remain open for six months. We will contact you within that time if other openings become available that may interest you.
