Ascension St. Vincent Anderson volunteers donate their time and energy in an effort to make a patient's stay as comfortable as possible. Our volunteers perform duties that lighten the load of our staff, services for patient comfort. Thank you for your interest in volunteering. There isn’t a gift more generous, more compassionate or more appreciated than giving your time.
Volunteer requirements
With their contagious smiles, comforting presence and huge hearts – our volunteers make each Ascension St. Vincent Anderson in Indiana feel like home. Due to the nature of our work there are a number of requirements that all Ascension volunteers must meet. First you will need to complete a volunteer application. Next you will participate in a orientation and training session. Uniforms are required any time you are volunteering. These requirements ensure that volunteers are well-prepared and dedicated to supporting the mission of Ascension St. Vincent Anderson in Indiana. Please review the "Immunization" requirements and "General" requirements for the location you are applying for, before submitting your application. Performance expectations
Volunteers must be able and willing to dedicate four hours of service for one day each week. Daily shifts are typically: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. or 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. (times may vary depending on the department's needs).
