Ascension St. Vincent Carmel volunteers donate their time and energy in an effort to make a patient's stay as comfortable as possible. Our volunteers perform duties that lighten the load of our staff, services for patient comfort. Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Volunteer requirements
With their contagious smiles, comforting presence and huge hearts – our volunteers make Ascension St. Vincent Carmel in Indiana feel like home. Due to the nature of our work there are a number of requirements that all Ascension volunteers must meet. First you will need to call 317-582-7262 for an appointment and sign a confidentiality statement. Then you will complete a 2-step TB test and blood screening (we provide at no charge). Volunteers must obtain parental consent if you are under 18. Next you will complete a criminal background check and participate in a training session. Uniforms are required any time you are volunteering. These requirements ensure that volunteers are well-prepared and dedicated to supporting the mission of Ascension St. Vincent Carmel in Indiana.
