Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital - Ozaukee Campus is proud of the service the volunteer community provides for our healthcare ministry. Volunteers are vital in helping to create a warm and friendly environment, and are  present in many departments throughout our hospital.

Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital - Ozaukee Campus volunteers donate their time and energy in an effort to make a patient's stay as comfortable as possible. Our volunteers perform duties that lighten the load of our staff, services for patient comfort. Thank you for your interest in volunteering. There isn’t a gift more generous, more compassionate or more appreciated than giving your time.


Volunteer requirements

With their contagious smiles, comforting presence and huge hearts – our volunteers make Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital - Ozaukee Campus feel like home. Due to the nature of our work there are a number of requirements that all Ascension volunteers must meet. First you will need to complete a volunteer application, criminal background check and reference checks.  Then you will undergo a blood draw to test for TB and immunities to MMR and varicella (chicken pox), along with a drug screen.

Next you will participate in a orientation and training session. Volunteers are also required to get an annual flu shot. Uniforms are required any time you are volunteering. These requirements ensure that volunteers are well-prepared and dedicated to supporting the mission of Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital - Ozaukee Campus. Please review the "Immunization" requirements and "General" requirements for the location you are applying for, before submitting your application.
