Volunteer at Ascension St. Vincent House
Ascension St. Vincent House is proud of the service the volunteer community provides for our healthcare ministry. Volunteers are vital in helping to create a warm and friendly environment, and are present in many departments throughout our hospital.
Ascension St. Vincent House volunteers donate their time and energy in an effort to make a patient's stay as comfortable as possible. Our volunteers perform duties that lighten the load of our staff, services for patient comfort. Thank you for your interest in volunteering. There isn’t a gift more generous, more compassionate or more appreciated than giving your time.
Many of our patients come from long distances for treatment and stay for extended periods of time, including newborns in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to transplant, trauma and cancer patients. The Ascension St. Vincent House will provide a place to stay and amenities that are meaningful and needed during serious and sometimes life-altering healthcare events.
Volunteers may become engaged at the Ascension St. Vincent House by signing up for regular shifts to help with registration, hostessing, cleaning, gardening, organizing, program planning and serving our families. Volunteers will also be needed for special projects such as planting flowers, raking leaves, and organizing craft, meal and social activities for families.
