Ascension sites of care in Wisconsin are proud of the service the volunteer community provides for our healthcare ministry. Volunteers are vital in helping to create a warm and friendly environment, and are  present in many departments throughout our hospital.

Ascension Wisconsin volunteers donate their time and energy in an effort to make a patient's stay as comfortable as possible. Our volunteers perform duties that lighten the load of our staff, services for patient comfort. Thank you for your interest in volunteering. There isn’t a gift more generous, more compassionate or more appreciated than giving your time.


Volunteer requirements

With their contagious smiles, comforting presence and huge hearts – our volunteers make each Ascension sites of care in Wisconsin feel like home. Due to the nature of our work there are a number of requirements that all Ascension volunteers must meet. First you will need to complete a volunteer application and undergo a drug screen along with a two-step TB test. Next you will participate in a four-hour orientation and training session. Volunteers are also required to undergo annual TB testing and complete ongoing education initiatives. Uniforms are required any time you are volunteering. These requirements ensure that volunteers are well-prepared and dedicated to supporting the mission of Ascension sites of care in Wisconsin. Volunteer benefits
