Ascension St. John Jane Phillips volunteers donate their time and energy in an effort to make a patient's stay as comfortable as possible. Our volunteers perform duties that lighten the load of our staff, services for patient comfort. Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Volunteer requirements
With their contagious smiles, comforting presence and huge hearts – our volunteers make each Ascension St. John Jane Phillips feel like home. Due to the nature of our work there are a number of requirements that all Ascension volunteers must meet. First you will need to complete a volunteer application and undergo a drug screen along with a two-step TB test. Next you will participate in a four-hour orientation and training session. Volunteers are also required to undergo annual TB testing and complete ongoing education initiatives. Uniforms are required any time you are volunteering. These requirements ensure that volunteers are well-prepared and dedicated to supporting the mission of Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Auxiliary. Scholarships
Ascension Jane Phillips Medical Center Auxiliary awards scholarships to approved individuals who are pursuing a degree in a medical or healthcare program from an accredited institution. For more information on scholarship opportunities, call the Volunteer Services department at 918-331-1907.
