Volunteer requirements
At Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital, we look for volunteers who will approach tasks with an enthusiastic and professional attitude. Volunteers need to be dependable, compassionate, understanding, have good communication skills and function independently with minimal supervision. To be considered, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have an active email
- Commit to at least six months of continuous service (generally one four-hour shift per week)
- Provide proof of immunizations
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Annual Influenza vaccination
- T-spot TB test
- Complete new volunteer orientation
- Consent to a criminal background check
