The Ascension Providence Auxiliary is comprised of volunteers provide extra support and service throughout the hospital, creating a warm and friendly environment of care for our patients and their families. Volunteers assist staff in many ways, lending their skills to nursing units, admitting, waiting areas, the information desk, the gift shop and more. Auxiliary members also contribute many hours each year helping with special events, including the annual Christmas tree lighting, blood drives and the Festival of Flowers. Each volunteer is assigned a service area that best matches the skills, experience and interests of the volunteer. Teen Volunteers
Boys and girls ages 14 – 18 who have completed the 8th grade and who have maintained a “C” average or above are invited to join our dynamic group of enthusiastic teen volunteers who are assigned clerical duties, assist in surgery waiting rooms, deliver supplies and help the hospital staff. Teen volunteers should expect to commit to 20 hours of service during the summer term.
Interested teens should complete and submit an application, a signed Confidentiality Statement, two reference forms completed and signed by a teacher or school counselor, a copy of your most recent report card, and a completed and signed Medical Release Liability Form.
