In 1953, Ascension Brighton Center for Recovery was the first addiction treatment center  licensed in Michigan. We are the third-oldest substance use treatment facility in the United States. Our addiction medicine specialists and care teams apply the latest diagnostic and treatment techniques, as recognized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, including the 12 steps.

We personalize our inpatient and outpatient treatment options for a patient’s needs and specialize in treating polysubstance use disorders (when two or more substances, including alcohol, affect health and well-being). Our holistic approach is customized for long-term recovery and includes dedicated treatment options for women and healthcare professionals affected by addiction. On our campus are comprehensive inpatient addiction treatment and rehab, outpatient therapy, a chapel and gardens.
