Our mental health specialists at Ascension Saint Joseph Chicago - Harborview Recovery Center are committed to delivering compassionate support using a comprehensive knowledge and up-to-date approach to treat adults with substance use disorders.

Our services include:

  • 24/7 medical monitoring and withdrawal management

Detoxification for:

  • Alcohol
  • Heroin, fentanyl and other opioids
  • Benzodiazepines and sedatives or hypnotics
  • Cocaine and amphetamines, when combined with other substances
  • Other substances, based on severity and impact on quality of life and evaluated case by case 

Personalized approach 

At Ascension Saint Joseph Chicago’s Harborview Recovery Center, we provide personalized treatment that recognizes and supports each individual’s needs. Our services include: 

  • Care from a specialized addiction team including doctors, social workers and addiction counselors
  • Medication-assisted treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone®) or methadone for opioid use disorder 
  • Suboxone induction, which is the supervised medical process of safely transitioning from opioids to buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone) to treat opioid use disorder.
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Patient and family education
  • Discharge planning with referrals to continuing care, including intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization programs, residential treatment or sober living
