Visitor policy

Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital's visitation policies allow us to provide a safe environment, high-quality care and positive experiences.

  • Visitor policy

Visiting during an inpatient stay is important to foster connection and socialization for our patients. To assure a positive experience and a safe environment we have established the following visitor guidelines:

    • Visiting days and hours vary by unit to promote patient engagement in treatment. Please contact the person with whom you are visiting for unit specific days and times.
    • Visitor belongings are stored in designated lockers on the first floor. Visitors are not allowed to bring personal items or outside food/drink into the inpatient units.
    • Children under age 18 may visit with a doctor's order, based on unit visiting guidelines.
  • Safety precautions

Inpatient units follow infection prevention guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and the Illinois Department of Public Health. This may include mandatory masking during times of higher community-acquired illness. Medical grade masks are available for the safety of yourself and your loved one.

Please avoid visiting if you are experiencing any illness symptoms to prevent the spread of infection.

Visiting may be restricted if your loved one is in isolation. Please contact the nursing station for more information.

  • Parking information
