Pain Rehabilitation Outpatient Camp (PRO-CAMP) is a six-week outpatient rehabilitation group program that helps improve physical and mental functions affected by chronic pain. PRO-CAMP is a multispecialty approach to pain management that focuses on three areas:
- Behavioral: Learn to adopt healthy coping mechanisms, pacing techniques, communication skills, breathing and relaxation exercises.
- Cognitive: Learn to change negative thinking patterns that affect your mood and pain.
- Physiological: Learn to manage pain through exercise therapy, yoga and medical management.
Your care team may include doctors, nurse practitioners, psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nutritionists and acupuncturists.
