Located in Luling, 50 miles southeast of Austin, Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis provides inpatient and outpatient services, including general surgery, for residents of Caldwell County and surrounding counties in Central Texas. And, we have a level IV trauma center. Emergency Care
When a medical emergency happens, our care team is ready with 24-hour emergency care services. Our ER doctors and care teams are experienced in providing trauma, cardiac care, adult and pediatric emergency care. Emergency air transport is available when needed to transfer patients to Austin or San Antonio.

Our hospital and medical care teams have the experience and technology to provide the medical care you need, closer to home. Our general surgeons and heart surgeons are skilled in a full range of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques.
Heart and Respiratory Care
The Cardiopulmonary Services department provides an array of therapeutic and diagnostic services for those with respiratory or cardiac illness. Experienced respiratory therapists perform pulmonary function studies, sleep studies, electrocardiograms, cardiac stress testing and cardiac Holter monitoring.
Radiology and Diagnostic Testing
Our radiology department provides a wide range of imaging services, including echocardiograms, CT scans (including Lung Healthy CT), mammograms, bone density scans, ultrasound, MRIs and other routine radiology examinations and test procedures.

Children’s Care-a-Van
The Children’s Care-a-Van is a specially-equipped recreational vehicle featuring exam rooms and an immunization area. With weekly visits to area schools and day care centers, the Care-a-Van is a service of Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis in cooperation with Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.
Services for the Children’s Care-a-Van are based on a sliding scale fee. The maximum fee per visit is $20 for uninsured patients. Medicine and on-site laboratory tests are provided at no charge. If necessary, X-rays and other diagnostics tests are arranged at Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis in Luling.

Heritage Program
The Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis Heritage Program for senior adults serves patients suffering from depression, loneliness and anxiety. The program helps many area residents cope with problems commonly associated with aging.
