Scholarship Program

The volunteer program at Ascension Calumet Hospital can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience that stays with you for the rest of your life.

The Calumet Medical Center Auxiliary provides annual scholarships to individuals pursuing a degree in a healthcare field. Scholarship amounts vary, as donations to the Auxiliary’s Remembrance Fund facilitate the scholarship program. Scholarships are awarded to current high school seniors entering either a two or four-year post-secondary school in addition to scholarships to an individual entering their 2nd-4th year of post-secondary school. Applicants may only be awarded once but can apply annually.

Criteria for application/eligibility

  • Must be a resident of Calumet County
  • Pursuing a post-secondary degree in a healthcare field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of application, essay and submission of transcript by April 1

Process of Selection

All applications will be reviewed by the Calumet Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship Committee, and awardees will be chosen by mid-May. All applicants will receive notification of their scholarship award status. Checks will be made payable directly to the school of attendance and mailed in early September.
