Calumet Medical Center Auxiliary provides annual scholarships to individuals pursuing a degree in a healthcare field. Scholarship money is provided by the Auxiliary’s Remembrance Fund (annual amount of money raised may vary). Scholarships are awarded to current high school seniors entering either a two or four-year post-secondary school or awarded to an individual entering their second through fourth year of post-secondary school. Applicants are only awarded once but can apply every year, if they haven’t won in the past.
Criteria for application/eligibility
- Completion of application, essay and submission of transcript by April 1
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be a resident of Calumet County
- Pursuing a post-secondary degree in a healthcare field
Process of Selection
All applications will be reviewed by the Calumet Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship Committee and recipients will be chosen by May 15. All applicants will receive notification of their scholarship award status. Checks will be made payable directly to the school of attendance and mailed in early September.
Other
Scholarship winner names and photos will be printed in the local paper with winners’ permission.
