If needed, we are close to home with the latest technology in heart care.
How to prepare for your appointment or procedure
If you have questions call, 254-751-6333.
Most patients before your doctor consultation or before a procedure need pre-op tests, such an EKG, blood tests, X-ray, cardiac diagnostic imaging, or stress test. These services are provided at the Ascension Providence Heart Hospital outpatient services department located on the second floor of Ascension Providence hospital. This is the same area of the hospital you will come on the day of your procedure. Our nurse navigator will help you throughout this experience, providing education sessions and answering your questions. Our care team is here to support you.
Post-Discharge Recovery
Your heart care team will give you the education and tools for your recovery after a heart procedure. Based on our conditions, some patients will be referred to cardiac rehabilitation. Ascension Providence provides structured exercise therapy for heart recovery and dietary guidance at the R.W. Crosthwait, Sr. Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center.
