At Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital, our care teams diagnose and treat a wide range of mental illnesses. We care about how these disorders may affect your physical and emotional health. Our care team offers programs to address complications linked to depression, anxiety, psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), co-occurring disorders with drug and alcohol addiction, and more.
Our care team includes psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, mental health technicians, art therapists, recreational therapists, social workers, physicians, general practitioners, registered nurses and dietitians. Based on your needs, we work together to determine if an inpatient or intensive outpatient program will work best for you. Our care plan addresses prevention, interventions, treatments and recovery support services.

Ascension Saint Thomas provides a variety of programs to support treatments for these conditions. These programs include:
- Adult Inpatient Program: The Adult Inpatient Program provides a safe and structured setting for adults age 18 or older who are struggling with a range of mental health concerns. Our program includes a unit for adults who are suffering from mood disorders and one for those who are experiencing symptoms of thought disorders. Learn more here.
- Senior Inpatient Program: The Senior Inpatient Program provides clinically excellent care for adults age 65 or older who are suffering from a range of mental health concerns including mental illnesses and co-occurring addictions. Learn more here.
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): The Full Circle PHP offers treatment for individuals who need a higher level of care than traditional outpatient services, but do not need inpatient hospital care or residential care. The PHP is designed to help individuals learn how to manage symptoms of mental health concerns while maintaining their daily routines. Learn more here.
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): The Intensive Outpatient Program, also known as Full Circle, serves adults age 18 and older who have developed anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or another mental health disorder and also meet one of the following criteria:
- Can benefit from structured step-down programming after completing inpatient care
- Need a higher level of care than can be provided via traditional outpatient services but do not require 24-hour supervision

- Electroconvulsive Therapy Program: Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital offers a variety of evidence-based treatment options to ensure that each patient receives care that will allow them to achieve the best possible outcomes.
