MEET OUR TEAM
Leader in innovative single-port robotic surgery in the region
Ascension Saint Agnes became the first hospital in the Maryland-Delaware-Virginia region to perform a single-port robotic colon resection combined with transanal surgery, a highly advanced minimally invasive technique. This approach involves operating through a single small incision, which can reduce pain, speed recovery and improve outcomes compared to traditional multi-port or open surgeries. The program has also expanded into single-port robotic thoracic procedures such as lung resections.
