The Pre-professional Program at Ascension Via Christi Manhattan is designed for students to shadow various departments within the hospital. Whether you need shadowing experience for a degree program or you want to find out more about working in healthcare, Ascension Via Christi Hospital can provide an educational experience for students.

Students must be a minimum of 16 years of age to apply.
Please complete the application completely. ALL requested documents must be uploaded before your application will be reviewed.
You will be contacted once a Pre-Professional student shadow opportunity has been identified, and your application is reviewed. **Please do not submit duplicate applications.**
You must also provide documentation of the following. Applications will NOT be considered without ALL of the required documentation. You will only be notified if the application is COMPLETE with all required information.
- Two (2) MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) and/or an established positive titer showing immunity
- Two (2) Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccinations and/or an established positive titer showing immunity
- Tdap vaccination at age 11 years or older
- Current TB (Tuberculosis) test result within the past year
- Current year’s influenza vaccination (only required between the months of October and March of each year)
