Specialists at Ascension Illinois - Proviso Children's Advocacy Center provide a safe and child-friendly environment where children and adolescents receive supportive services following sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, and other forms of child maltreatment. Our care team provides forensic interviewing, advocacy, counseling, and community education services free of charge to children and families living in the western suburbs of Cook County.

The mission of Ascension Illinois - Proviso Children's Advocacy Center is to provide a victim-centered, multidisciplinary team response to child abuse. When appropriate, we coordinate with law enforcement, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and local medical and mental health professionals. We work together to reduce trauma, seek justice, and ensure the child and family receive the necessary support to stabilize and heal from abuse.
