Family Birth Place

At our Family Birth Place, we provide family-centered birth suites with home-like comforts. Working together, we help deliver a memorable birth experience. Ascension Sacred Heart provides specialized medical care to women with high-risk pregnancies and their babies. The Family Birth Place offers the only neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) serving Walton and Okaloosa county families. The NICU provides care for premature and critically ill babies. 

The comprehensive group of caregivers includes board-certified neonatologists (pediatricians with specialized training in the care of critically-ill infants), neonatal nurses, immunologists and nutritionists along with a team of specialized nurses, support staff and volunteers. 

And with our connection to the Studer Family Children’s Hospital and a network of pediatric specialists with offices in Okaloosa and Walton counties, your family has access to the highest level of pediatric care in the region.
