Cancer affects your physical and emotional health. Your care team focuses on all of your needs. When you choose Ascension St. Vincent's for your cancer care, you get a multispecialty team—medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, and more—dedicated to your care.
The Mary Virginia Terry Cancer Center works closely with the medical oncologists at Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside to provide high quality medical oncology and radiation oncology care. Surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists and radiologists meets three times a week at the tumor board on a collaborative treatment plan for your needs.
We diagnose and treat many types of cancer including:
- Brain cancer
- Breast cancer
- Blood cancer, including multiple myeloma, lymphoma
- Colon and rectal cancers
- Head and neck cancers
- Gastrointestinal cancers in the stomach, bowel, colon or liver

Personalized radiation therapy targets cancer cells
Radiation oncologists deliver advanced, targeted radiotherapy and radiosurgery to eliminate cancer cells and tumors. Radiation therapy may be given in combination with other types of treatment.

Advanced tests and imaging
Getting a clearer understanding of your health helps your doctor make a diagnosis and create a care plan that's personalized for you. Our cancer care team does a thorough evaluation and uses a range of blood tests and imaging tests, including 3D mammogram, MRI, CT-scan, ultrasound, X-ray and more. Ascension St. Vincent's provides outpatient lab testing and biopsies. Genetic testing and counseling is available for BRCA 1, BRCA 2, PALB2 and other inherited genetic mutations. Genetic counseling can help you and your doctor better understand your risk of developing cancer.
