Medications and drug therapy

Cancer surgery


Creates a new breast shape in place of a breast that’s been removed (mastectomy). Breast reconstruction can be done using implants, tissue from another part of your body or a combination of both. Surgery may be done to reconstruct either one breast (unilateral) or both breasts (bilateral)

Removes cancer while preserving as much of the breast as possible

Minimally invasive procedures used to diagnose or treat early stage tumors

A way of performing breast surgery that places the incision (cut) where the scar is harder to see after it heals.

Removes skin cancer one layer at a time while preserving healthy tissue. Each layer is examined under a microscope to look for cancerous cells, until your provider finds a layer without any.

Removes all of the breast tissue while keeping the breast skin, nipple, and areola (the darker skin around the nipple). During surgery, your surgeon checks the tissue under the nipple for cancer. If it is cancer-free, the nipple and areola can stay. If cancer is found, the nipple will need to be removed.

Minimally invasive procedure that uses a robotic-assisted system to help your doctor reach and examine small areas deep inside the lungs. It can be used to collect tissue samples (biopsies) or help diagnose lung conditions, including lung cancer.
