Sleep medicine care in Waco

At Ascension Providence Sleep Medicine in Waco, we provide personalized sleep care to help you understand your symptoms, identify the cause of your sleep concerns and find a treatment plan that fits your life.

Personalized care from consultation through treatment

Our sleep medicine providers and care team listen to your concerns and review your symptoms, health history and sleep patterns. We use that information to determine which evaluation or sleep study may be right for you and connect your results to practical next steps.

Advanced sleep testing in one coordinated setting

Ascension Providence offers a range of outpatient sleep studies to evaluate nighttime breathing, sleep quality and daytime alertness, including:

  • Polysomnogram (PSG), an overnight in-lab sleep study
  • Home sleep testing (HST)
  • CPAP and bilevel titration studies
  • Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
  • Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)

Sleep medicine specialists interpret your testing reports, helping your referring clinician better understand your condition and treatment needs.

Care for a wide range of adult sleep concerns

Our team evaluates common adult sleep concerns, including:

  • Snoring and suspected obstructive sleep apnea
  • Excessive daytime sleepiness
  • Insomnia
  • Chronic fatigue and morning headaches
  • Restless legs syndrome
  • Narcolepsy
  • Circadian rhythm disorders
  • Abnormal sleep behaviors
  • Breathing concerns during sleep

A sleep study selected for your needs

Not every sleep concern requires the same type of testing. During your consultation, your care team will help determine whether an at-home evaluation, overnight sleep study or daytime alertness test is most appropriate for you.

If home sleep testing is recommended, the team provides the device and instructions. Once testing is complete, you return the device to either of our two care locations for analysis.

Treatment that continues beyond diagnosis

Your care does not end when testing is complete. Depending on your diagnosis, treatment may include CPAP or BiPAP therapy, oral appliance therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia, medication management, lifestyle recommendations or other sleep-focused treatments.

For patients using positive airway pressure therapy, our care team can provide support with equipment, masks, supplies and therapy monitoring.

Sleep care that supports your overall health

Sleep disorders can affect your energy, concentration, mood and daily activities. They may also contribute to concerns involving your heart, lungs and brain. At Ascension Providence, our goal is to understand the full picture of your health and provide adult sleep care that supports both symptom improvement and long-term well-being.
