The CFCC is the only center of its kind in Central Texas that cares for children in utero. As a clinical partnership with UT Health Austin, the CFCC offers expert diagnosis, treatment, and management for the most complex and rare fetal conditions, such as congenital heart anomalies, spina bifida and twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.

If your baby is diagnosed with a condition, you can deliver in our dedicated SDU inside Dell Children’s Medical Center. This state-of-the-art labor and delivery unit is specifically designed for mothers of high-risk babies, providing immediate access to neonatal and pediatric specialists for continuous care during delivery and recovery.

The Level IV NICU at Dell Children's is ready should your baby need advanced care after birth. This is the highest level of care available for critically ill or extremely premature newborns in Central Texas and connects your baby to the region's largest network of pediatric specialists and specialty programs, including a Level I Children's Surgical Program.

Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin features a maternal Level IV designation, meaning we care for the most complex maternal conditions and obstetric complications. In 2026, Ascension Seton Women’s Hospital will open adjacent to Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. The new hospital will offer advanced maternal and high-risk pregnancy services along with a comprehensive NICU in the event that newborn intensive care services are needed 24/7 OB-GYN emergency services and gynecologic care.
