Why choose Ascension Medical Group Seton Neurosurgery

When you or your loved one is diagnosed with a brain or spinal tumor, you want the best care. Specialists at Seton Brain and Spine Institute in Austin, Texas treat and remove brain and spinal tumors using some of the most advanced treatment options.

Your care team includes neurologists, neurosurgeons and nurses who specialize in brain and spine tumor care. Using advanced diagnostics and treatment options, we deliver care for metastatic, primary, benign (slow growing or non-cancerous) tumors such as pituitary adenomas and malignant brain and spinal tumors (fast growing or cancerous). And as part of an integrated national network of care, your doctor works with specialists in neurology, cancer care, imaging and more, to bring the best of our national expertise to you close to home.

Your doctor starts by listening to you. Ask your questions – big and small. Your doctor takes the time to answer your questions and explain your diagnosis and treatment options. Together, we work with you to create a care plan that’s right for you.

Advanced brain and spine tumor care, from diagnosis to treatment

Advanced imaging and biopsy may be used to diagnose your tumor. If you need additional imaging, lab testing, pharmacy or specialists, we’ll connect the dots for your care.

Depending on the type and size of your tumor, your care plan may include radiation therapy, surgery or both. Our neurosurgeons have the experience and expertise to target brain and spinal tumors. And, we use minimally invasive surgery, including CyberKnife® and laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT). With minimally invasive brain and spine surgery, small incisions are used, which may lead to less pain and a shorter recovery time.
