Pricing & Health Care Costs
Ascension Wisconsin is committed to providing quality around-the-clock care to persons in need, regardless of their ability to pay. At the same time, we have a responsibility to all patients and payers to attempt to obtain payment from those able to pay.
To promote price transparency, we participate in the Wisconsin Hospital Association’s PricePoint program. The PricePoint website allows consumers to receive basic, facility-specific information about charges for health care services at all hospitals in Wisconsin.
Pricing information is available for inpatient care, outpatient surgery services, urgent and emergency care and other hospital outpatient services, such as radiology. Please note that the estimated charges listed are significantly more than what we ultimately bill due to negotiated discounts with insurance plans and our self-pay discount.

Your insurance plan is a good source of pricing and cost information for those with insurance, while hospitals provide this information to those who are uninsured. While PricePoint provides basic information on hospital charges, we are unable to provide estimates for any ancillary services and/or others whom may be involved in your care.
Consumers should be confident that they are receiving not only affordable care, but high quality care. By using CheckPoint and PricePoint together, you can review both the price and quality of care you can expect to receive.
Assisting Patients with Financial NeedPlease note Ascension Wisconsin offers a charity care program called Community Care to assist qualified individuals in financial need. If you receive medically necessary care and show financial need, but do not qualify for other financial assistance programs, you may apply for financial assistance. Any patient with out-of-pocket expenses, whether insured or uninsured, may qualify. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-877-304-6332 for an application.
- In addition, all sites owned and operated by Ascension Wisconsin give a percentage discount to our uninsured patients. The amount accepted as payment for care will be consistent with that received for patients with private insurance.
- Ascension Wisconsin also works with patients to establish payment plans as needed.
