Advanced wound healing with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
During HBOT 100 percent oxygen is delivered at increased pressure in a special individualized see-through chamber. By elevating the atmospheric pressure and increasing the oxygen intake, oxygen is transferred into the bloodstream, tissue and cells at a fast rate. This triggers multiple mechanisms that increase the oxygen level in your circulation and tissues, and enhances your body’s ability to fight infections and grow new blood vessels. This treatment can help heal wounds and reduce the risk of amputations.
HBOT requires a commitment to daily (Monday - Friday) treatment sessions lasting two hours. You may need a duration of 20 - 70 sessions, depending on your diagnosis and your body’s response.

- Diabetic wounds in the lower body
- Damage to internal organs due to previous radiation therapy (Soft tissue radionecrosis: i.e. radiation cystitis, radiation enteritis, radiation proctitis)
- Bone damage due to previous radiation therapy (osteoradionecrosis)
- Chronic bone infections (osteomyelitis)
- Bubbles of air in your blood vessels (arterial gas embolism)
- Carbon monoxide poisoning
- Crush injury to skin or bone and compartment syndromes due to trauma
- Decompression sickness
- Foot and leg ulcers
- Gangrene
- Compromised skin graft or flaps (decreased blood flow, hypoxia, necrosis)
- Sudden vision loss (due to blood clot)
