From Commitment to Campus (College Prep)
The “From Commitment to Campus” program is specifically designed to transition the high school athlete from signing day to the day they arrive on campus. The transition from high school athletics to college athletics can be a major adjustment for many young athletes.  After taking time off after the high school season, many athletes are not prepared for the physical demands required of them when they arrive on campus.  During the period of time between signing day and arriving on campus, it’s imperative for an athlete to be as prepared as possible.  We know firsthand that freshman athletes usually arrive on campus ill-prepared.  They receive a workout program from their university, but are then on their own until they get to campus.  Some athletes need direction, others need motivation in a competitive environment with other athletes, and some just need to find a place to train because it’s hard to find the time to work out in their high school weight room.  This program is designed not only to help the athlete contribute to their team right away, but also to decrease the chance of injury when they begin to compete at a higher level. Athletes will receive an athletic assessment, including body composition, functional mobility assessment, nutrition education, weekly diet analysis, an individual/sport-specific training program, post-workout recovery drink, and a Sports Performance Nike DriFit t-shirt.
