How we diagnose vascular conditions

Your vascular specialist starts by listening to understand your concerns. Then, we work with you to create a personalized vascular  care plan. High-definition imaging and blood flow studies are used to diagnose artery and  vein conditions, including PAD and carotid disease.

Vascular ultrasound (Doppler studies) may be used to evaluate blood flow and identify blockages.

How we treat vascular conditions

Treatment for vascular conditions may include minimally invasive and surgical procedures to restore blood flow and reduce the risk of serious complications. Conditions may include:

For some patients, surgery or minimally invasive repair may be recommended to treat abdominal aortic aneurysms and prevent rupture.

Specialized care is available to diagnose and treat blood clots, including deep vein thrombosis, to help prevent serious complications

Vascular surgeons provide advanced treatments for carotid artery disease to reduce the risk of stroke, including minimally invasive techniques such as transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR).

Minimally invasive procedures may be used to open narrowed or blocked arteries in the legs to improve circulation and relieve pain while walking.

Vein procedures may include

A minimally invasive procedure that treats poor circulation of blood in the leg, a condition called venous reflux or insufficiency. Left untreated, varicose veins and other more serious vascular conditions may develop.

An injection treatment used to eliminate spider veins and reticular veins. Sclerotherapy is a cosmetic vein procedure, and is not a covered benefit through your insurance provider.

Varithena™ microfoam is an alternative form of non-surgical venous ablation that can be performed in the office without the need for any anesthesia.
