Christopher D. Johnson, MD, FACS, is a surgeon at Ascension Sacred Heart in Panama City, Florida. Dr. Johnson is board-certified in general surgery and fellowship-trained in advanced gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery. He provides elective and emergency surgery to adult patients.

Dr. Johnson has a special interest in all aspects of foregut surgery including antireflux surgery, paraesophageal hernia, motility disorders, as well as foregut malignancies. Dr. Johnson has also received numerous honors and awards, including the Norma J. Preston Humanism Award, Gold Humanism Society Resident of the Month and Outstanding Resident in Pediatric Surgery.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his family, sailing and woodworking.
