Leighanne Lear, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in cardiac electrophysiology at Ascension St. Vincent's Cardiology in Saint Johns and Jacksonville, Florida. With extensive experience in cardiology since 2004, she provides personalized, patient-centered care for adults with heart rhythm conditions, including a special focus on atrial fibrillation (AFib).

Leighanne is dedicated to helping patients better understand their heart health so they feel informed, confident and empowered in their care. She takes the time to listen to her patients' concerns, answer questions and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs. Her collaborative approach ensures patients receive comprehensive care through close coordination with cardiologists and other specialists across Ascension St. Vincent's.

Leighanne began her career at Ascension St. Vincent's as a critical care nurse in 2008 and joined the cardiology practice as a nurse practitioner in 2015. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Jacksonville University in 2017. In 2019, she launched the practice's AFib Clinic and continues to support and expand atrial fibrillation services across all Ascension St. Vincent's campuses.

In addition to caring for patients, Leighanne shares her expertise with healthcare organizations nationwide, speaking on best practices for developing and optimizing AFib programs.

When not caring for patients, Leighanne enjoys spending time with her husband, a Navy Chief, their four children and their two French bulldogs. She is active in her church community and is passionate about serving others through her faith.
