Kenneth Shaffer, MD, is an independent pediatric cardiologist with Dell Children's Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology in Austin, Kyle, Cedar Park, College Station, Georgetown, and Waco, Texas. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart disease in patients of all ages ranging from developing babies (fetus), newborns and children to adults. Dr. Shaffer cares for those with many different heart conditions, including: arrhythmia and other irregular heartbeats, cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease, heart murmur, hyperlipidemia, long QT syndrome, and others.

Dr. Shaffer is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology. He serves as Co-Director of Cardiology Quality and Safety for Pediatrix Cardiology and on multiple workgroups and committees within the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology. In March of 2019, Dr. Shaffer began his tenure as President of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and sits on the national ACC on the Board of Governors.
