Cesar Gerez Martinez, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care for patients of all ages at Ascension Medical Group Seton Primary Care - McCarthy Clinic in Austin, Texas. He believes in partnering with patients to help them achieve their health goals through evidence-based medicine and preventive care.

Dr. Gerez Martinez provides comprehensive primary care, including wellness visits, preventive medicine and the diagnosis and management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma and hyperlipidemia. He also performs a variety of in-office procedures, including laceration repair, incision and drainage (I&D), ingrown toenail treatment, joint injections, skin biopsies and cervical cancer screening.

Inspired to pursue medicine by his father, an OB-GYN, Dr. Gerez Martinez is committed to building lasting relationships with patients and delivering care that is both evidence-based and tailored to each individual's needs.

Dr. Gerez Martinez earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas in Tampico, Mexico and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Gerez is fluent in both English and Spanish.
