Brady Anderson, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon at Ascension Medical Group serving patients in South Austin and Hays County, Texas. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Anderson has practiced in the Austin area since 2008 after completing his general surgery residency in Dallas.

Dr. Anderson specializes in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical procedures, with clinical interests in foregut surgery, including hiatal hernia and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), as well as colon surgery for diverticular disease. He also performs surgery for gallbladder disease and abdominal wall hernias, including inguinal, umbilical and incisional hernias. Since 2014, he has used robotic-assisted surgical technology to help patients benefit from smaller incisions, less pain and faster recovery times.

Dr. Anderson is committed to providing personalized care and treating each patient with compassion and respect. He takes time to explain diagnoses and treatment options, helping patients make informed decisions about their care. By building strong partnerships with his patients, he provides guidance and support throughout the surgical journey.

A native Texan, Dr. Anderson was born in Amarillo and raised in Tyler. He earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. After completing his surgical training in Dallas, he moved to Austin to begin his practice.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Anderson enjoys golfing, fishing, cooking, paddleboarding, yoga and traveling with his wife.
