About Hwarang S Han, DO
Hwarang Stephen Han, DO, is an independent, board-certified nephrologist at the Abdominal Transplant Center, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. He specializes in transplant nephrology and is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients before and after kidney transplantation.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Han serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Han earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and his medical degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine through the Osteopathic Medical Education Consortium of Oklahoma, followed by fellowships in general nephrology at the University of Oklahoma and transplant nephrology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Han is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Transplantation.
