About Maram A Said, DO
Maram A. Said, DO, is a board-certified gynecologist (OB-GYN) with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ascension St. Vincent in Carmel, Indiana, near Indianapolis, IN. She also holds a practice designation in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS).
Originally from Racine, Wisconsin, Dr. Said relocated to Indiana in 2011 and proudly serves women across Central Indiana through her practice, which is dedicated to comprehensive women’s wellness.
Dr. Said specializes in complex benign gynecology, offering minimally invasive approaches to treat conditions that affect women throughout their lives, including:
- robotic and laparoscopic excision/resection of endometriosis
- fertility-preserving myomectomy (outpatient)
- outpatient minimally invasive hysterectomy
- incisionless fibroid treatment with radiofrequency ablation
- advanced laparoscopy for pelvic pain and infertility

Dr. Said and her team offer women’s wellness exams, comprehensive hormonal treatment options for PCOS, infertility, perimenopause, and menopause care. She also offers treatment for sexual health concerns, breast and female cancer prevention, and cancer survivorship tailored for each patient.
After completing her education at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Said trained at St. Vincent Indianapolis. She joined Ascension St. Vincent Carmel in 2015, and has since served in many leadership roles.
Dr. Said is currently the Medical Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecology Services and previously served as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She is an active member of the Robotic Council and is a leading voice in advancing surgical quality and access. Dr. Said is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor for Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine and with the St. Vincent OB-GYN Residency program, and enjoys teaching. Her research and surgical expertise have been presented at national and international conferences, including ACOG national and state meetings and AAGL Barcelona and Vancouver conferences.
Dr. Said is fluent in English and Arabic, and conversational in medical Spanish.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Said enjoys cooking, traveling, rowing, and most importantly, spending quality time with her two sons, Adam and Zak.
