Edward Fry, MD, is a cardiologist at Ascension St. Vincent in Carmel, Indiana. He was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to the US at age seven. Dr. Fry attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa and went to medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He completed a two year Fellowship in Cardiovascular Research and completed his General Cardiology Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine. He then remained on faculty as Assistant Professor and Medical Director of the Cardiac Transplant Program. He completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at St. Vincent Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Fry currently serves as Chair of the Ascension National Cardiovascular (CV) Service Line. Currently, he is the Immediate-Past President of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). Dr. Fry is also past President and Governor of the Indiana Chapter of the ACC; has served on the ACC Board of Trustees; Board of Managers of MedAxiom; and has held many roles in national professional medical societies. He has been a presenter, moderator, and session chair at multiple national and international meetings. Dr. Fry and his wife have three adult sons and live in Indianapolis.

He joined the cardiology practice at St. Vincent in 1991 where he continues today as a busy general cardiologist. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of cardiovascular problems including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and other cardiac risk factors, prevention, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease. Dr. Fry works with you to create a personalized care plan that is right for your needs. Along with his colleagues at Ascension St. Vincent, he is part of an integrated, national network of heart care, sharing best practices and provides evaluation and treatment of the most complex heart conditions.
