About Aaron Brock Roller, MD
Aaron Brock Roller MD is trained in the most advanced and cutting-edge techniques and treatments in the management of ocular complications of diabetes, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachments, vitreous degeneration, retinal vascular disease, and inherited eye diseases, along with numerous other rare and serious conditions affecting the retina and vitreous. Dr. Roller received his medical degree with distinction in research from the University Of Rochester School Of Medicine in 2006. During medical school, he was awarded the Research to Prevent Blindness Medical Student Fellowship grant with which he undertook a year-long research fellowship at UCLA's Jules Stein Eye Institute, investigating gene therapy for inherited eye diseases. He then completed a Preliminary Medicine internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. After this, he was honored to have been invited to join the ophthalmology residency program at the prestigious University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology, graduating in 2010. He continued his education at the University of Iowa with a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery under the mentorship of a diverse team of world-renowned retina specialists, which he completed in June of 2012.
