Claire R. Selinger, MD, is an independent psychiatrist at Ascension Seton in Austin, Texas. Dr. Selinger provides mental health diagnosis, evaluation and treatment for children and teens to help improve their emotional health and relationship with others. Dr. Selinger works with you to create a personalized care plan for your child, and if their needs are more complex, Dr. Selinger collaborates with a multispecialty team of professionals to provide the comprehensive care you need.

Dr. Selinger was born and raised in Galveston Island and migrated north to Rice University for undergraduate, then a bit further west to San Antonio for medical school and finally quite west to Stanford for adult residency and child psychiatry fellowship. She is excited to return to Texas with her husband to practice academic medicine closer to friends and family. Her hope is to expand access to mental health care for youth in the greater Austin area and share and enhance quality of life for children in all of Texas by enhancing resources for pediatric provider, schools, teachers, parents and children.
