Estephan N. Zayat, MD, is a board-certified, independent gastroenterologist at Ascension Via Christi in Wichita, Kansas. He diagnoses and treats gastrointestinal (GI) diseases and disorders in adults.

Dr. Zayat started his education pursuit in 1987 attending the American University of Beirut and obtaining a B.S. with distinction. In 1991, he obtained his Medical Doctorate which was granted by the Board of Regents, State of New York. He then completed one year of residency with the Department of Internal Medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and then an additional three years with the University of Kansas School of Medicine where he also served as General Medicine/Junior Faculty for one year.

Upon completion of residency, he went on to his fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with the Division of Digestive Diseases. Dr. Zayat is the Chair of the Credentials Committee at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis.

Dr. Zayat is on the Medical Executive Committee with both Wesley Medical Center and Ascension Via Christi St. Francis.

Dr. Zayat's previous positions include Chair of Medicine at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis and a member of the Board of Directors with the Medical Society of Sedgwick County.
