Michelle M. Braun, PhD, is a neuropsychologist at Ascension Wisconsin in Racine, WI. Dr. Braun rejoined Ascension Wisconsin in 2011 after serving as the Assistant Director of Inpatient Mental Health at the Boston VA and Instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Braun is a board-certified neuropsychologist specializing in neuropsychological assessment, geropsychology, decisional capacity assessment, and behavioral medicine. She completed her internship at Yale University School of Medicine and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Boston VA/Harvard Medical School after earning her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, with a minor in Neuroscience, from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

In 2008, the Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Wisconsin honored Dr. Braun with a Practitioner of the Year Award for her work with individuals with dementia. Dr. Braun serves on the Scientific and Advisory Panel of the Southeastern Wisconsin Alzheimer's Association, is an examiner for the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology, and is a past member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology and the Wisconsin Psychological Association.

Dr. Braun has dozens of peer-reviewed publications and presentations in national forums and journals. She enjoys educating patients and families about the latest research in the field and was featured in a 2013 PBS special on brain health, as well as several other national media outlets.

In 2013, Dr. Braun was also honored by being named to the Milwaukee Business Journal's "40 Under 40" class. That same year, she received the Early Career Psychologist Award from the Milwaukee Area Psychological Association and the Joseph Runkel Award in Psychology from Carroll University.
