Dr. Ekambaram has the expertise to diagnose and treat rare and complex infectious diseases in children. Dr. Ekambaram's research focus includes diagnostic and antimicrobial stewardship, especially in children with medical complexity and immunocompromising conditions. She has been acknowledged with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) T-32 Training Grant Award for the Pharmacoepidemiology Research Training Grant Program, the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS) Antimicrobial Stewardship Fellowship Award, and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Transplant Network (PIDTRAN) Early Career Research Award.
