Dr. Jones received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Maryland, where he graduated with honors and several research awards. He continued his education at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, where he graduated with honors and as a member of the distinguished Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Jones then went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Stony Brook Medical Center in Stony Brook, NY, where he was chief administrative resident from 2014 to 2015 and received awards for research excellence as a resident.
